Ingredients

1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats (not instant)

1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk you prefer)

1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt

1 tablespoon chia seeds

1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey (adjust to your taste)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

A tiny pinch of salt

Your Favorite Toppings: Fresh berries, sliced banana, chopped nuts, seeds, a dollop of peanut butter, etc.

Instructions

Combine: In a jar, a glass, or a small bowl, add the rolled oats, almond milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and the pinch of salt.

Mix Well: Stir everything together thoroughly until it's all completely combined. Make sure there are no clumps of chia seeds at the bottom.

Chill: Cover the container and place it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.

Serve: The next morning, give your oats a good stir. If they seem a little too thick, add a small splash of milk. Top with your favorite fresh fruit, nuts, or a swirl of peanut butter and enjoy!

    Notes

Three glass jars of prepared overnight oats lined up in a refrigerator, ready for a week of easy breakfasts.

    Notes

    • Make it Vegan: To make this vegan, simply use a plant-based yogurt (like coconut or almond yogurt) and your favorite plant-based milk.
    • Flavor Ideas: This is a blank canvas! Try adding a tablespoon of cocoa powder for a chocolatey version, or a sprinkle of cinnamon and some chopped apples for an apple pie flavor.
    • Meal Prep for the Week: This recipe is perfect for meal prep. Just line up 3-4 jars on a Sunday night and prepare them all at once. You'll have breakfast ready for half the week!

    Kitchen Rescue Tips!

    • The Problem: "My overnight oats are bland!"
    • The Quick Fix: A tiny pinch of salt is a game-changer! It brings out all the other flavors. Also, don't forget the vanilla extract—it adds a wonderful warmth. If it's still not sweet enough, a little extra maple syrup will do the trick.
    • The Problem: "My oats are too thick or too thin!"
    • The Rescue: This is an easy fix! If your oats are too thick in the morning, just stir in a splash of milk until you get the consistency you love. If they seem too thin, stir in another teaspoon of chia seeds and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. They will magically thicken it up.
