      • The Best Cottage Cheese: For the best flavor and a rich, creamy texture, I highly recommend using a full-fat (4% or 5%) cottage cheese. It's much more satisfying!
      • Try it Savory! This formula works for savory bowls, too. Skip the fruit and honey and top your cottage cheese with sliced cherry tomatoes, a drizzle of olive oil, fresh basil, and a crack of black pepper.
      • A Pinch of Cinnamon: A little sprinkle of cinnamon can add a wonderful warmth to the bowl, especially with apples or peaches.

      Kitchen Rescue Tips!

      • The Problem: "My cottage cheese is watery!"
      • The Quick Fix: That little pool of liquid on top is just whey, and it's totally normal. Don't drain it! Simply stir it right back into the cottage cheese. It will make the texture even creamier and adds a little extra protein.
      • The Problem: "My breakfast bowl is bland!"
      • The Rescue: The secret to amazing flavor is texture and balance. Make sure you have something creamy (the cottage cheese), something sweet/tart (the fruit), and something crunchy (the nuts or seeds). A tiny pinch of salt stirred into the cottage cheese itself can also make the fruit taste even sweeter!
      • The Problem: "It's still not sweet enough for me!"
      • The Rescue: A drizzle of honey or maple syrup is the perfect fix. You could also try a naturally sweet fruit like a ripe banana or mango.
